Take Back Bag
Clean out your closet and ensure your natural fibres don't end up in the landfill. We'll take your natural fiber products (any brand) and make sure they're included in our textile recycling initiative. Fill your bag and slap on the pre-paid shipping label and click the link to book the courier, too easy. Small changes make a big impact and together we can save even more textile waste from landfill!
Please note these are dispatched via regular post so may take up to 7 days to reach you.
How to use your take back bag:
1. Fill - Fill your bag with preloved clothing, sheets and towels. Please make sure your items are clean, dry and 100% natural fibres. This bag should fit approximately 10-tshirts.
2. Return - We will mail you a pre-printed shipping label to return to us; simply book the courier at: www.nzpost.co.nz/tools/bookapickup/address
3. Recycle - We take your clothes and turn them into new ones, through our fibre-to-fibre recycling programme. Learn more about closing the loop and our circularity process here.
4. Repeat - Grab another bag, fill it up again and repeat the process, you are doing something great every time you do!
Yes please: 100% cotton, merino, wool, linen, hemp, silk. This includes natural fibre blends (no synthetic blends please). Yes you can include sheets, tea towels, and towels. Please include a note if your products do not contain labels.
No thanks:Plastic synthetics (polyester, nylon, spandex, viscose, acrylic), Duvets, mattresses, carpets, undergarments, socks, shoes.
Dimensions: The bag measures 400 x 440mm and fits approximately 10 tees. We take 100% natural fibres from all brands but please ensure the products are washed.

If your products are end of life we appreciate it if you can remove buttons, zips, and elastics prior to sending, however, if you're not sure send them as is and we will take care of it.
All of our orders are shipped in plastic free packaging.
We have free global shipping for all orders over $100. For orders under $100 the following rates apply.

All of our products can be machine washed. We recommend a cold wash and line dry for minimal environmental impact.
All our products are free to return at the end of their usable life. We also accept 100% cotton from any brand to be included in our fibre-to-fibre textile recycling program. You can learn more here.
Loved the bag. So easy! Just put old natural fibres in it, close the bag, add the courier sticker and call the courier and it’s done!
massive. its a little work to remove zips and elastics but I think worth it for the option to recycle things that won't be any good for reusing.
It's a great idea. I haven't filled it yet but I'm sure it will all work well.
Unfortunately I selected the 'pick up' option and wasted an hour of my morning waiting for the 'shop' to open before finding out from the shop next door (buy them a coffee for dealing with your queries) that I could have rung the bell at any time. A note to that effect on the email that confirmed my order would have saved me time and frustration.
Also, I love the clothes as seen online and would have bought the kowhai print Tshirt as a gift for my ex-pat daughter but it's been made up upside down and looks more like magnolias. Do let me know if you get new items made right way up (and maybe in yellow?)

Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience. We aren't a shop we are a warehouse that offers in-person collections. The automated email that gets sent out for people who choose to collect does say we are available for collections Mon-Fri 10am - 2pm and if you need a collection outside of these hours please contact us in advance. As a small business, we aren't able to 100% guarantee coverage 9am - 5pm which is why we ask people to contact us in advance to check that we are here or alternatively choose a shipping option. We will look into some signage options for further clarity. Hopefully there will be some prints more to your taste in the future =)
Stoked to have such an easy textile recycling service in NZ. Bag arrived quickly, filled it up, posted and done! Great info provided with the bag, so you know what you can/can't recycle too.
