Take Back Tote

Make your clothes go around again with our Take Back Tote! First, drop-off is free! Just like our Take Back Bag, but you get to keep the tote, refill and bring back as often as you need to. This is great for anyone who lives locally (Wellington, NZ) and would like to tread lighter and keep their textile waste out of landfill. 

How to use your Take Back Tote:

1. Fill - Clean out your closet and fill with your old 100% all-natural fibre goods (any brand) and we'll make sure they're included in our textile recycling initiative and turned back into new clothes. Please ensure the items have been washed. 

2. Return - Bring your full tote in, we'll weigh it and take the items off your hands. First drop-off is free with the purchase of the tote, after that it's $40. This covers the cost of sorting, bailing, and recycling responsibly. 

3. Recycle - We sort, bail and recycle your cotton and with our fibre to fibre recycling process make it go another round. Yay! Learn more about closing the loop and our circularity process here.

4. Repeat - Repeat the process. Fill it up again and bring it into us, you are doing something great every time you do.

Dimensions: The bag measures 400mm h x 490 w x 150 d and fits approximately 20 tees. Double what our take-back bag can hold. 

Yes please: 100% cotton, merino, wool, linen, hemp, silk. This includes natural fibre blends (no synthetic blends please). Socks (any composition). Yes you can include sheets, tea towels, and towels.

No thanks: Plastic synthetics (polyester, nylon, spandex, viscose, acrylic). Duvets, mattresses, carpets. Undergarments. Shoes.

If your products are end of life we appreciate it if you can remove buttons, zips, and elastics prior to sending, however, if you're not sure send them as is and we will take care of it.
